Hospice offers control of pain and symptoms during critical illness and at the end of life. This is combined with a holistic approach to the patient and family, offering support, social spiritual and culturally appropriate care in the place most convenient to the patient and family.
HOSPICE AFRICA UGANDA: is the Model Hospice for Hospice Africa, locally referred to as Hospice Uganda.
WHAT DOES HOSPICE OFFER? Hospice offers control of pain and symptoms during critical illness and at the end of life. This is combined with a holistic approach to the patient and family where the patient is the focus.
This form of care is now a specialty called "Palliative Medicine". Uganda has had this service since 1993, yet through care and training of others, we are still only reaching 10% of those in need. Ugandans with cancer and AIDS are still dying in pain. This is a tragedy which we can prevent with palliative care.
The occasion will take place at 6pm Wednesday, December 15th 2010 at Cassia Lodge, Buziga Hill - TICKETS @ 100,000/= available at:

The Fundraising Dinner is aimed at raising awareness of the great need and how the work of Hospice in Uganda is assisting those in need in Uganda and other African countries., All money raised through ticket sales and donations will support the care of Ugandans most of whom cannot afford to pay.
